A new heart and a new lease on life-An interview with Jessica Renfeldt

Suddenly Jessica was not feeling well, not feeling like herself. She was getting winded and struggling to even walk. Like many women I have talked to, she was dismissed at her initial doctor visits. When her diagnosis was finally uncovered, it was a devasting one. The rare disease she found out she was living with ultimately destroyed her heart, and Jessica found herself on the organ transplant list. Today Jessica shares her story with the utmost grace and peace in the face of an incredibly difficult journey. The way she looks at the world is with awe and a sense of wonder. Jessica reminds us to look at the beauty around us in the everyday and not wait for the wakeup call we didn’t ask for.
