Let’s get real about marriage

“And they lived happily ever after….”
We have been fed this fairy tale line since we were little girls. And you know what? It did all of us a huge disservice. While we found ourselves buried in bride magazines and wedding blogs, we got basically zero preparation or tools for marriage itself. If you haven’t already figured it out, there is no frog that turns into a prince and marriage is not all hearts and rainbows. Sharing every aspect of your life-the beautiful, the mundane, and the messy, with one person takes incredible dedication and work. And midlife divorce? It’s more than doubled since the 1990’s. On this episode, I am sharing what I have learned in nearly two decades of marriage, some tips and tools, as well as the recognition that marriage will always be a journey.
