Starting a non-profit in Costa Rica turned her midlife crisis into a midlife lovefest-An interview with Nancy Alvarado

Nancy Alvarado could have never known when she joined the Peace Corps in her early 20's that it would become the most influential catalyst in her life. There she met her husband, found a community among the women in a rural village and developed a lifelong relationship with Costa Rica, its culture and most importantly it's people. Many years later at the age of 45, Nancy goes back to this same village to build a brick oven. She sees how this brick oven transforms not only a family's life but an entire community. Inspired by the first one's success, Nancy and her team of volunteers decide to build another one. And from there, Bricks to Bread was born. Nancy talks about how she wakes up and cannot wait to get to work at her non-profit. She shares how starting Bricks to Bread turned her midlife crisis into her midlife "lovefest." This episode will inspire you. It will remind you that it is never to let to step fully into your purpose.
